If the City had known what had <br />taken place, it would have required the property owner <br />participate in organized collection. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the followinq resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-6-150 - APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: <br />*CALLING FOR A WORKSHOP MEETING ON JUNE 21, 1995 AT <br />7:30 P.M. TO DISCUSS TFIE RICE STREET STUDY~ <br />*APPROVAL OF VENDORS LICENSE AS REQUESTED BY BLUE <br />BELL ENTERPRISES; <br />*APPROVAL OF ASSESSMENT ABATEMENT FOR PROPERTY AT <br />3093 GREENBRIER STREET OWNED BY MR. KOWALCZUK AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR~ <br />*APPROVAL OF PARTIAL PAYMENT FOR 1995 STREET AND <br />WATER MAIN PROJECTS AS REQUESTED BY VALLEY PAVINGj <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCI3ER5. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4j LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (1) Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. <br />PETITION Mr. Walter Gorman submitted a petition to the Council <br />ASKING FOR requesting the removal of the stop sign at the <br />REMOVAL OF intersection of Lake Street and Jackson Street. Gorman <br />STOP SIGN reported that the City Administrator informed him that <br /> the stop sign was installed to protect children in the <br /> area as well as to slow traffic. Gorman felt that the <br /> Jackson/Lake Street intersection was no more hazardous <br /> than Demont Street, and failed to see the urgency for a <br /> stop sign in this location. Gorman reported that he <br /> has 250 signatures on the petition and could have <br /> obtained more. Gorman asked that the petition be given <br /> some serious consideration. <br />Fahey asked if Mr. Gorman discussed this issue with the <br />property owners in the Jackson/Lake Street area. <br />Gorman reported that the signatures are from property <br />owners living in the condominiums, and he did not speak <br />with the Jackson/Lake Street property owners. Gorman <br />stated that it was his impression that only 1 or 2 of <br />these property owners wanted the stop sign, and further <br />6 <br />
