MIN~PES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 28, 1995 <br />PUBLIC <br />HEARING - <br />USES IN <br />B-3 ZONING <br />DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council continued their discussion of the Zoning <br />Ordinance amendment relating to uses in the B-3 <br />Zoning District. <br />The City Planner pointed out that the conditional uses <br />in the B-2 Zoning District appear to be most at issue. <br />These include: <br />principal or accessory use; <br />*Accessory, enclosed retail, rental or service <br />activity other than that allowed as a permitted use <br />or conditional use; <br />*Commercial planned unit development as regulated in <br />Section 923; <br />*Motor vehicle sales lot. <br />*Car washes; <br />*Motor fuel station, auto repair-minor, and tire and <br />battery stores and service; <br />*Open and outdoor storage as a principal or accessory <br />use; <br />*Open or outdoor service, sale and rental as a <br />*Drive-in and convenience food establishments; <br />The Planner asked if there was any interest in carrying <br />over any of these Conditional Uses from the B-2 Direct <br />to B-3, and if there was any interest in carrying over <br />the permitted uses in the B-2 District to B-3. <br />Fahey asked if there was any objection to carrying over <br />permitted and conditional uses from the B-1 District to <br />B-2. There was not. <br />Fahey asked if there was any objection to carrying over <br />permitted uses from the B-2 District to B-3. There was <br />not. <br />Fahey asked if there were any permitted uses in the B-3 <br />District that the Council had objection to. There were <br />no objections to the B-3 permitted uses. <br />With regard to conditional uses in the B-2 District, <br />Morelan suggested that only 5ection 911.040. A. should <br />carry over to B-3. That is, the conditional use for <br />drive-in and convenience food establishments. <br />Scalze agreed and stated that she did not feel the <br />existing drive-in and convenience food establishments <br />4 <br />
