MIN~PES CITY COUNCIL JUNE 28, 1995 PUBLIC HEARING - USES IN B-3 ZONING DISTRICT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. The Council continued their discussion of the Zoning Ordinance amendment relating to uses in the B-3 Zoning District. The City Planner pointed out that the conditional uses in the B-2 Zoning District appear to be most at issue. These include: principal or accessory use; *Accessory, enclosed retail, rental or service activity other than that allowed as a permitted use or conditional use; *Commercial planned unit development as regulated in Section 923; *Motor vehicle sales lot. *Car washes; *Motor fuel station, auto repair-minor, and tire and battery stores and service; *Open and outdoor storage as a principal or accessory use; *Open or outdoor service, sale and rental as a *Drive-in and convenience food establishments; The Planner asked if there was any interest in carrying over any of these Conditional Uses from the B-2 Direct to B-3, and if there was any interest in carrying over the permitted uses in the B-2 District to B-3. Fahey asked if there was any objection to carrying over permitted and conditional uses from the B-1 District to B-2. There was not. Fahey asked if there was any objection to carrying over permitted uses from the B-2 District to B-3. There was not. Fahey asked if there were any permitted uses in the B-3 District that the Council had objection to. There were no objections to the B-3 permitted uses. With regard to conditional uses in the B-2 District, Morelan suggested that only 5ection 911.040. A. should carry over to B-3. That is, the conditional use for drive-in and convenience food establishments. Scalze agreed and stated that she did not feel the existing drive-in and convenience food establishments 4
