MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 12, 1995 <br />Morelan asked if the Personnel Ordinance would now be <br />repealed. <br />It was the recommendation of the City Attorney that the <br />Personnel ordinance be repealed at the next Council <br />meeting. <br />RESIGNATION Council reviewed the letter of resignation submitted <br />OF BERNIECE by Berniece Magnuson from her position on the Park & <br />MAGNU50N Recreation Commission. Mrs. Magnuson is moving from <br />the City, therefore, will be unable to complete her <br />term on the Commission. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-7-169 - ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF <br />BERNIECE MAGNUSON FROM THE PARK & RECREATION <br />COMMISSION, AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR THAT <br />POSITION WITH AN ADJUSTED TERM, IF NECESSARY, TO ENSURE <br />A MORE EVEN ROTATION OF MEMBERS' TERMS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Morelan, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TEMPORARY Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />LIQUOR moved its adoption: <br />LICENSE-LCRA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-7-170 - APPROVING A TEMPORARY LIQUOR <br />LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION <br />FOR CANADIAN DAYS TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD AUGUST 11 <br />THROUGI-I 13, 1995 SUBJECT TO SUBMISSION OF SATISFACTORY <br />PROOF OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PAY REQUEST- Council reviewed the payment request of Valley Paving <br />VALLEY in the amount of $121,949.95 for work done on the 1995 <br />PAVING street and water main improvements.
