MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 12, 1995 Morelan asked if the Personnel Ordinance would now be repealed. It was the recommendation of the City Attorney that the Personnel ordinance be repealed at the next Council meeting. RESIGNATION Council reviewed the letter of resignation submitted OF BERNIECE by Berniece Magnuson from her position on the Park & MAGNU50N Recreation Commission. Mrs. Magnuson is moving from the City, therefore, will be unable to complete her term on the Commission. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 95-7-169 - ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF BERNIECE MAGNUSON FROM THE PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION, AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR THAT POSITION WITH AN ADJUSTED TERM, IF NECESSARY, TO ENSURE A MORE EVEN ROTATION OF MEMBERS' TERMS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Morelan, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TEMPORARY Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and LIQUOR moved its adoption: LICENSE-LCRA RESOLUTION NO. 95-7-170 - APPROVING A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION FOR CANADIAN DAYS TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD AUGUST 11 THROUGI-I 13, 1995 SUBJECT TO SUBMISSION OF SATISFACTORY PROOF OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Fahey. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. PAY REQUEST- Council reviewed the payment request of Valley Paving VALLEY in the amount of $121,949.95 for work done on the 1995 PAVING street and water main improvements. The Administrator noted that this is not final payment, and recommended approval of the pay request.
