MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NLY 26, 1995 There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Morelan, seeonded by LaValle, the public hearing was closed. Morelan felt that the request met the necessary requirements for a Conditional Use Permit. Morelan asked if any thought had been given to requiring removal of the existing small shed on the property. The City Planner reported that the.Wilson's use this shed for storage of garden equipment. Given the configuration of their garage, they preferred not to store this equipment in the middle of the garage. Morelan noted that the width of the garage is relatively narrow. As a result, there is not a lot of side storage. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 95-7-175 - APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A GARAGE ADDITION WHICH WOULD RESULT IN TOTAL ACCESSORY BUILDING AREA EXCEEDING 1,000 SQUARE FEET AS REQUESTED BY DAVID AND JUNE WILSON FOR PROPERTY AT 636 KELLER PARKWAY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. VACATION OF Scalze opened the public hearing to consider the PORTION OF vacation of a portion of Jackson Street lying between JACKSON Australian Avenue on the north and Bluwood Avenue on STREET the south. The City Administrator recommended that the public hearing be continued to August 23rd due to concerns about the legal description of the area to be vacated. The Administrator also pointed out that a vacation requires a super-majority vote of the Council. Given that the Mayor is absent this evening, as well as Council Member Morelan's past practice of abstaining on matters in the Australian/Bluwood area, there would not be enough votes to act on the matter.
