MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 26, 1995 <br />AUGUST 11 THROUGH 13, 1995; <br />*APPROVAL OF TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE AND APPLICATION <br />FOR EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE FOR ST. <br />JOHN~S CHURCH FALL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD SUNDAY, <br />SEPTEMBER 24~ 1995 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ARCHITECTURAL The City Planner reported that at their next <br />STANDARDS meeting, the Planning Commission will be considering <br />architectural standards. The Commission has scheduled <br />a workshop in September to review the Comp Plan in <br />detail, and the Planner anticipated that the Commission <br />would be completing its review of the updated plan in <br />the near future. <br />Scalze asked the City Planner if he was keeping <br />involved in the Rice Street Study. <br />The Planner replied that he did not receive any <br />information from the last workshop, but he has been <br />speaking with the market research people and <br />understanding that these discussions will continue. <br />APPROVAL The City Administrator reported that he anticipates <br />OF ARCHITECT having the architect's contract completed by the end <br />CONTRACT FOR of the week. The Administrator asked for authorization <br />OLD FIRE to execute the contract upon approval of its form.by <br />STATION the City Attorney. <br />PROJECT <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-7-178 - AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE ARCHITECT'S CONTRACT <br />FOR THE OLD FIRE STATION PROJECT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />UPON APPROVAL BY THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reviewed his memo dated July 21, <br />1995 which lists those who have participated in the <br />planning for the old fire station project to date. The <br />Administrator requested that the Council set the <br />committee structure on a more formal basis. That <br />committee would work with the architect on the design <br />4 <br />
