MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 15~ 1995 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 15th day of August, 1995 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. <br />Cable TV Prod. <br />Admin. Asst. <br />Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mrs. Jane Boog <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />RICE STREET Mayor Fahey thanked everyone in attendance at tonight's <br />STUDY - second town meeting on the Rice Street Study. Fahey <br />TOWN MEETING reported that the consultants will present an overview <br />of what has occurred in the study thus far, and ask for <br />the public~s input on that information. No decisions <br />have been made, the Rice Street Study is still in the <br />development stage. Fahey pointed out that even when <br />the study is at its final stage, it can be adjusted to <br />provide fluidity to the development which occurs. <br />Fahey reported that Mr. Budar, North Star Mobilehome <br />Court, submitted a letter suggesting development of an <br />indoor shopping mall, children's entertainment center, <br />theater, and book store. <br />Rusty Fifield, Ehlers and Associates, reported that his <br />firm is one of three consulting firms that has been <br />working over the last four months on the development <br />guide for the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. <br />Fifield reported that this evening he would like to <br />take about an hour to report on the information <br />gathered up to this point as well as the concepts that <br />have been developed from that information. Once that <br />information has been presented, those present will be <br />asked for their reaction to what has been done thus <br />far. <br />Fifield reported that the information and plans to be <br />
