MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 22, 1995 make one of the interior walls a fire wall since most of the wall is concrete. Fahey suggested that may make sense on an interim basis. The City Administrator summarized that the next step will be for the architect to lay out a list of options. The Council can then review that list and determine the extent of the project. Code issues and ADA requirements would be first priority, with amenities following. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 95-8-190 - MOVING FORWARD WITH TfiE OLD FIRE STATION RENOVATION PROJECT, INSTRUCTING THE ARCHITECT TO DEVELOP A PRIORITY LIST FOR THE PROJECT WHICH WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR REVIEW AND ACTION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Fahey felt that a facilities committee should be formed to plan for space and facility needs for LCRA, Parks and Rec, and Public Works. It was pointed out that the Historical Society and Fire Department would not need to be represented by this committee since their needs are being met. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 95-8-191 - ESTABLISHING A FACILITIES COMMITTEE TO CONSIST OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT, PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR, REPRESENTATIVES OF CANADIAN DAYS, AND THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION TO DETERMINE SPACE AND FACILITY NEEDS GIVEN THE NEED TO MOVE PUBLIC WORKS AND PARK EQUIPMENT FROM THE OLD FIRE STATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
