MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 22, 1995 <br />make one of the interior walls a fire wall since most <br />of the wall is concrete. <br />Fahey suggested that may make sense on an interim <br />basis. <br />The City Administrator summarized that the next step <br />will be for the architect to lay out a list of options. <br />The Council can then review that list and determine the <br />extent of the project. Code issues and ADA <br />requirements would be first priority, with amenities <br />following. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 95-8-190 - MOVING FORWARD WITH TfiE OLD <br />FIRE STATION RENOVATION PROJECT, INSTRUCTING THE <br />ARCHITECT TO DEVELOP A PRIORITY LIST FOR THE PROJECT <br />WHICH WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR REVIEW <br />AND ACTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey felt that a facilities committee should be formed <br />to plan for space and facility needs for LCRA, Parks <br />and Rec, and Public Works. It was pointed out that the <br />Historical Society and Fire Department would not need <br />to be represented by this committee since their needs <br />are being met. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 95-8-191 - ESTABLISHING A FACILITIES <br />COMMITTEE TO CONSIST OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT, PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR, <br />REPRESENTATIVES OF CANADIAN DAYS, AND THE LITTLE CANADA <br />RECREATION ASSOCIATION TO DETERMINE SPACE AND FACILITY <br />NEEDS GIVEN THE NEED TO MOVE PUBLIC WORKS AND PARK <br />EQUIPMENT FROM THE OLD FIRE STATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that prior to <br />scheduling of the first meeting of this committee, LCRA <br />and Canadian Days should meet with their membership to <br />10 <br />
