MINUTES OF THE REGUI,AR MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA SEPTEMBER 27, 1995 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of September, 1995 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Michael Fahey chaired and called the meeting to order at 7:45 P.M. and the following members of the Council were present at roll call: MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson City Attorney Mr. Tom Sweeney City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman Cable TV Prod. Mr. Bill Bruce Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer RICE STREET/ Fahey pointed out that the Council held a workshop LITTLE CANADA prior to this evening's meeting to discuss ROAD implementation issues relating to the Rice Street/ DEVELOPMENT Little Canada Road Development Guide. Since GUIDE the discussion was not completed at the workshop, it will continue into the regular meeting. Fahey reported that the Council had been discussing the City Planner's proposal for developing architectural design guidelines for the redevelopment area. Cost of those services is estimated at $4,295. The Council also reviewed a Statement of Understanding between the City and Mr. Grootwassink regarding the purchase and renovation of the Market Place Shopping Center. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 95-9-216 - APPROVING THE MARKET PLACE STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY AND MR. BOB GROOTWASSINK AS AMENDED AT THE SEPTEMBER 27, 1995 COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. 1
