MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 11, 1995 LIVABLE COMM[7NITIE5 ACT Fahey asked what the City's recourse is for faulty work once final payment is made. The City Administrator pointed out that the City can collect on the bond. Design problems would have to be addressed against the City Engineer. The City Administrator pointed out that the City delays the final lift on a project in order for the street to go through one freeze/thaw cycle. This will usually determine whether there are any problems with the project. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 95-10-236 - ADOPTING THE HOUSING GOALS AGREEMENT AS PART OF THE METROPOLITAN LIVABLE COMMUNITIES ACT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEfiALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CITY Council discussed the scheduling of the City ADMINISTRATOR Administrator's annual performance review. It was PERFORM2INCE the consensus of the Council to schedule that review REVIEW for Wednesday, November 22, 1995, at 6:30 P.M. RFP Fahey reminded staff of the need for a workshop to WORKSHOP discuss the RFP process, after staff has had a chance to meet with representatives of The Venetian Inn to discuss their development plans. Fahey suggested November 15, 1995 at 7 P.M. MN RELEAF Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and TREE moved its adoption: PL~ANTING GI2ANT RESOLUTION NO. 95-10-237 - AUTHORIZING SUBMIS5ION OF THE MN RELEAF TREE PLANTING GRANT APPLICATION TO THE DNR AS SUBMITTED BY THE PARK CONSULTANT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
