Resolution declared adopted.
Mayor Fahey reported that a number of letters have been
received at City Hall from residents of The Mayfield
Apartments expressing concern about the departure of
Rainbow Foods from The Market Place Shopping Center.
Fahey stated that he wanted to emphasize that there
will be both a grocery store and drug store at the
shopping center in the foreseeable future. The exact
timing on a grocery store moving back into the shopping
center is dependent on the owner completing
negotiations with tenants. This may take several
months due to lease expiration issues with Rainbow, but
it will be accomplished.
1
