MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVII~IBER 22, 1995 <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-11-274 - APPROVING TI-IE CONSENT AGENDA <br />WHICIi CONTAINS TI-IE FOLLOWING ITEMS: <br />*APPROVING THE CERTIFICATION OF UNPAID DEVELOPER <br />DEPOSIT BALANCE TO PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE SCHROEDER <br />PROPERTY ON RICE STREET; <br />*CALLING FOR A SUPPLEMENTAL ASSESSMENT AEARING FOR TAE <br />RAILROAD PROPERTY ALONG JACKSON STREET FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />OF JACKSON STREET/OLD COUNTY ROAD C/ AND LAKESHORE <br />AVENUE. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-11-275 - APPROVING THE REQUESTED <br />INCREASE IN FIRE RELIEF BENEFITS LEVEL FROM $2,050 PER <br />YEAR OF SERVICE TO $2,100, AND APPROVING THE FUTURE <br />FUNDING POLICY AS PROPOSED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. <br />CLOSED The City Attorney reported that further on in the <br />SESSION- Council agenda is a pay request for Valley Paving. <br />VALLEY The Attorney stated that as the Council has been made <br />PAVING aware through correspondence and a meeting between the <br />City Administrator and Valley Paving, litigation has <br />been threatened. The Attorney recommended a closed <br />session following the Council meeting relating to the <br />status of the situation and alternatives available to <br />the City Council. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-11-276 - CALLING FOR A CLOSED SESSION <br />FOLLOWING THIS EVENING'S COUNCIL MEETING TO DISCUSS <br />PENDING LITIGATION IN TI-IE VALLEY PAVING PAY REQUEST <br />MATTER <br />15 <br />
