MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
DECII'4BER 6, 1995
information until Mr. Grootwassink has the lease
finalized.
Morelan stated that he would not be totally opposed to
seeing a proposal from a second grocery store, but
suggested that if there are other types of businesses
which could be pursued, that would be best. Fahey
aqreed.
The City Administrator stated that if the grooery store
in the Market Place Shopping Center proves to be
unacceptable, the City would likely be willing to look
at a proposal for a second store.
Fahey again stated that because of the sensitive lease
negotiations taking place, he would not, and did not
want staff to divulge the name of the grocery store at
this time. Fahey pointed out that it is hoped that the
negotiations would be completed by this Friday or
Monday.
Pedersen commented that the City needs to have controls
in place to ensure that the Development Guide
provisions are complied with. If that is necessary
through rezonings, then the City should get that
process underway.
Rusty Fifield reported that the Development Guide will
be presented to the City Council for adoption at their
December 20th meeting.
There being no further business, the workshop was
adjourned at 8:35 P.M.
Mic ael I. ahey, Ma. r
Attest: ~ /~-~
Joel R.
