MINt7TES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEPIBER 20, 1995 <br />occurs. Fahey suggested that there needs to be <br />verification of this. <br />Frattalone indicated that he was agreeable to giving a <br />saw mill any wood which could be salvaged. However, <br />pointed out that there is a lot of twisted trees which <br />cannot be used. <br />Fahey noted that any approvals should also be subject <br />to compliance with the City's tree preservation <br />ordinance. <br />Frattalone was concerned with the requirement of a <br />water source at the site during the burning, pointed <br />out that the site will be 500 to 600 feet from <br />anything. <br />Fahey felt that notice to the Fire Department was very <br />important. Fahey that some means of fire suppression <br />equipment was needed on site, and felt what that means <br />should be up to the Fire Chief. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 95-12-297 - APPROVING A BURNING PERMIT <br />FOR MR. FRANK FRATTALONE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />APPROXIMATELY 3000 CENTERVILLE ROAD SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AS OUTLINED IN HER LETTER <br />DATED DECEMBER 15, 1995, INCLUDING THOSE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE DNR FOR SEPARATING OUT <br />SALVAGEABLE WOOD PRIOR TO BURNING, AND WITH THE <br />STIPULATION THAT TAE FIRE CHIEF RECOMMEND ON TI-IE ISSUE <br />OF FIRE SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR THE SITE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Aye (5) LaValle, Fahey, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TAXICAB Fahey reported that City staff is recommending that the <br />LICENSING City no longer license taxicabs. This licensing is an <br />administrative burden on the City, as well as raises <br />concerns regarding compliance with the ordinance and <br />enforcement. <br />Morelan pointed out the discussion the Council had at a <br />budget workshop meeting. Morelan asked if there was <br />any liability to the City in the licensing of taxicabs. <br />The City Attorney replied that to the extent there is <br />18 <br />
