MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 10, 1996 <br />PUBLIC <br />WoRKS <br />DIRECTOR <br />B~SPLOYMENT <br />AGREEMENT <br />TERM OF <br />AUDIT <br />CONTRACT <br />ORDINANCE NO. 425 - REPEALING CHAPTER 810 OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE OF TFIE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA RELATING TO <br />TAXI CABS <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Fahey reported that he, the City Attorney, and City <br />Administrator worked on drafting the employment <br />agreement for the Public Works Director. <br />The Administrator reported that the Agreement <br />delineates the at will employment status. The <br />Administrator introduced Scott Tangen, the new Public <br />Works Director, to the Mayor and Council as well as the <br />general public. <br />Tangen stated that he was happy to begin working for <br />the City of Little Canada. Tangen also stated that he <br />was comfortable with the employment agreement as <br />drafted. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-10 - APPROVING THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DIRECTOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT AS SUBMITTED, AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THAT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fah2y. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-11 - RECONSIDERING PREVIOUS COUNCIL <br />ACTION REGARDING THE TERM OF TFiE AUDIT CONTRACT BASED <br />ON THE JANUARY 5, 1996 MEMO FROM THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey pointed out that the City Administrator is <br />recommending that the term of the audit contract be <br />amended from three years to one year, leaving 1997 and <br />1998 open for further consideration.
