MINIITES CITY COUNCIL JANiJARY 10, 1996 the adult T-shirts. LaValle stated that he thinks NSYA does a wonderful job for Roseville, Arden Hills, Mounds View, and the School District. LaValle pointed out that there were 37 or 38 Little Canada seniors at the Seniors Graduation Party to which NSYA donated $2,100. LaValle pointed out that there is a home-based charitable organization in town that has donated more than $3/4 million to the City without solicitation. LaValle pointed out that NSYA does things for Roseville that they are not asked to do. LaValle stated that he did not believe NSYA should be out of the bingo hall completely. Matson stated that LaValle was upset tonight because one grant application was denied, and pointed out it was denied for legal reasons. LaValle stated that he was not upset, however, Matson appeared to be. Matson agreed. Scalze commented the issue is an emotional one, but pointed out the City has always been very up front through the years about charitable gambling. Scalze believed the discussion this evening should come as no surprise to Matson. Matson felt the City should have been up front enough to send him a copy of LCCP's letter. Scalze replied that she just saw the letter this evening. Matson stated that he considered this a disservice. LaValle asked if the application for up to 5 occasions should be denied and new submittals required. The City Attorney reported that the Council could approve the premise permit application amending it from five occasions to two. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-8 - AMENDING THE PREMISE PERMIT APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION CIIANGING THE NUMBER OF GAMBLING OCCASIONS FROM FIVE TO TWO, AND APPROVING THE AMENDED FORM SUBJECT TO SUBMISSION OF A REVISED ROTATION SCHEDULE BY 9
