MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 24, 1996 <br />use in this area, noting that the property is on the <br />edge of the Rice Street/Little Canada Road <br />redevelopment area. Scalze pointed out that the Lenfer <br />use is not allowed under the existing B-3 use of the <br />site. <br />Morelan asked what is allowed in the B-2 Zone which is <br />not allowed in B-3. <br />The Planner replied that minor auto repair, gas <br />stations, motor vehicles sales are allowed in the B-2 <br />Zone. The only conditional use in the B-2 Zone which <br />rolls over into B-3 is drive-in convenience food <br />restaurants. <br />Morelan asked what the Comp Plan shows for the land use <br />of this property. <br />The Planner replied that the land use is shown as <br />neighborhood commercial. <br />Fahey questioned why the City would allow the Kline use <br />in this area. Fahey pointed out the surrounding <br />residential area that would be affected. <br />Fahey, Morelan, and Scalze indicated that they would <br />not be inclined to support a rezoning to B-2. <br />SHELTER Council reviewed the request of the Park & Recreation <br />COMMITTEE Commission for a committee to meet to discuss the <br />Spooner Park shelter. The Commission is asking for <br />representation from the Council, Canadian Days, the <br />City Administrator, Park Consultant, Parks & Recreation <br />Director, as well as the Commission itself. The first <br />meeting has been scheduled for Monday, February 5th, at <br />6:00 P.M. Both Fahey and Morelan indicated their <br />interest in serving on the committee. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-1-33 - ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0).
