MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JIfNUARY 24, 1996 <br />REFUSE/ The City Administrator reviewed the Refuse/Recycling <br />RECYCLING Ordinance amendment pointing out the definition of <br />ORDINANCE materials which are allowed to be burned within the <br />City as well as allowing the use of plastic bags in <br />overflow situations. The Administrator reported that <br />in checking with other cities, the majority favor <br />containers. The Administrator also reported that the <br />ordinance amendment provides for options of containers <br />within mobilehome parks versus a centralized dumpster <br />or some other plan to be approved by the City. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 429 - AMENDING CHAPTER 809 OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA RELATED TO <br />MIXED MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS <br />STORAGE AND COLLECTION <br />The foregoing ordinanoe was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />CITY Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />ADMINISTRATOR its adoption: <br />SALARY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-32 - TABLING ACTION ON THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S SALARY UNTIL THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Morelan. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LENFER The City Planner reported that Ray Kline is looking <br />AUTO REHAB for another site to locate his auto repair business. <br />Mr. Kline has identified the Lenfer Auto site, and <br />would like to remodel the building, clean-up the site, <br />pave the parking lot, landscape, and construct a fence. <br />The Planner pointed out that in order to make use of <br />the property for an auto repair business, the property <br />would have to be rezoned to B-2 and a Conditional Use <br />Permit issued. Mr. Kline would like to know if the <br />Council would be receptive to his proposed use of the <br />property. <br />Scalze questioned why the City would want to allow this <br />17 <br />
