The City
Clerk estimated about $5,000 per year. Kwapick noted that the purchase would then break even in five
or six years.
The City Clerk noted that there is some reimbursement from Falcon Heights, and there could be
additional reimbursement if a third city is added.
Miller asked if the vehicle would be stored at the public works building. The City Clerk explained that
has been the practice because of the rampant theft of catalytic converters over the last few years, but
noted that activity has calmed down after new legislation was passed making it harder to sell catalytic
convertors. She asked if there is a
charging station available at public works. The City Clerk stated that there are outlets available and
noted that a regular is used as the vehicle sits overnight every day.
Mayor Fischer recognized the city vehicles that have been added over time and the benefit of branding
those vehicles. He recognized that this would be a continuation of adding to the city fleet and that this
would eventually be a budget -neutral or better financial decision.
Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller.
Ayes (4).
