MINU`i'ES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 27, 1996 <br />LIFT The City Attorney presented the Council with an <br />MORATORIUM ordinance which lifts the development moratorium in the <br />RICE/LITTLE Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. The Attorney <br />CANADA ROAD recommended that this ordinance be published subsequent <br />to the rezoning ordinances. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 434 - AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 383, ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM, AND REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 405, EXTENDING A MORATORIUM <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />MGM LIQUOR The City Attorney reviewed his letter dated March 22, <br />VIOLATION 1996 regarding the liquor license violation at MGM <br />AREA Liquor Warehouse on January 1, 1996. The Attorney <br />pointed out that the City's ordinance requires a <br />mandatory procedure for either a suspension of the <br />license for a period not to exceed 60 days, revocation <br />of the license, or the imposition of a fine, which may <br />not exceed $2,000 for each violation. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-3-73 - SCHEDULING COUNCIL REVIEW FOR <br />THE MGM LIQUOR LICENSE VIOLATION FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL <br />10, 1996 AT 7:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COMP PLAN The City Planner reported that he would update the <br />UPDATE Comprehensive Plan pursuant to the comments made at the <br />workshop meeting earlier this evening. A revised memo <br />will then be submitted to the Council summarizing the <br />steps left in the Comprehensive Plan update process. <br />ABRA The Planner reported that he received a call from a <br />developer interested in constructing an ABRA Auto Body <br />on Viking Drive. The Planner stated that he told the <br />developer he would ask the Council for their reaction <br />to this proposal. The developer is looking at property <br />11 <br />
