131M~11j14x>. <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 24, 1996 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen. <br />Nays (2) Scalze, Fahey. Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator indicated that he would work <br />with Hoisington to better define the scope of the <br />project in an attempt to reduce costs. <br />Fahey suggested that some workscope options and <br />relative costs be put together for the Council's <br />review. Fahey pointed out that it will be difficult to <br />get public support for a lavish streetscape desiqn <br />since the cost of the streetscape improvements will <br />either be assessed or taxed. Fahey agreed that the <br />City Administrator should work with Hoisington to get <br />more clarity for the project. <br />RFP PROCESS The Administrator recommended that a workshop meeting <br />be held to discuss the Rice Street/Little Canada Road <br />developer request for proposal process. The City's <br />financial advisor would attend the workshop to discuss <br />what the City could be prepared to do to assist the <br />redevelopment process. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-4-106 - CALLING A WORKSHOP FOR <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 1996 AT 6:00 P.M. TO DISCUSS THE <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS FOR THE RICE STREET/LITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD REDEVELOPMENT AREA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle, Morelan, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />USE DEED Council reviewed the recommendation of the Parks & <br />FOR LAKE Recreation Commission for release of the City's use <br />STREET deed for ponding and drainage purposes on tax <br />PROPERTY forfeited property on unimproved Lake Street. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-4-107 - RELEASING TI-IE CITY~S USE DEED <br />FOR TAX FORFEITED PROPERTY ON UNIMPROVED LAKE STREET <br />AND AUTHORIZING RAMSEY COUNTY TO SELL THE PROPERTY AT <br />PUBLIC AUCTION <br />21 <br />
