MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 22, 1996 DATE meeting date. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 96-5-121 - CHANGING THE JUNE 12, 1996 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING DATE TO MONDAY~ JUNE 10, 1996 AT 7:00 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. AMENDMENT The City Attorney presented a proposed amendment to the TO LIQUOR City's liquor ordinance which incorporates some recent ORDINANCE State Law changes. These involve changing reference from non-intoxicating malt liquor to 3.2 percent malt liquor as well as amending the number of days for which temporary liquor licenses can be issued and limitinq the number of licenses within a 30-day period for any one given organization. Fahey :;uggested that those organizations which typically request temporary liquor licenses be advised of the change in State Law. Mr. Morelan introduced the following ordinance and moved .its adoption: ORDINANCE NO. 435 - AMENDING CHAPTERS 701 THROUGH 704 OF THE LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO NON- INTOXICATING AND INTOXICATING LIQUOR WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-5-122 - PROVIDING FOR TAE PUBLICATION OF THE TITLE AND SUMMARY OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CI-IAPTEFt5 701 THROUGH 704 OF THE LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO NON-INTOXICATING AND INTOXICATING LIQUOR WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 7
