MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA~ MINNESOTA <br />MAY 22, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of May, 1996 <br />in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />6:30 P.M. and the following members of the City Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Fire Chief Mr. Dick Boss <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Jim Zietlow <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Jim Gustafson <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Don Smiley <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Bob Leibel <br />Fire Marshal Mr. Duane Williams <br />Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />FIRE DEPT. Fire Chief Dick Boss noted that the purpose of this <br />REPORT evening's workshop meeting is to present a report on <br />the Fire Department's activities over the past year. <br />Boss distributed a booklet to the Council which <br />contains 1995 information on number and type of fire <br />calls, meetings held, 1996 committees listing, duty <br />assignments, 1996 officers listing, and the 1995 final <br />budget amounts. <br />Boss reported that the Fire Department has added three <br />new members, Todd Bacigalupo, Ted Keffeler, and Kevin <br />Keenen. All three have completed their Fire Fighters I <br />traininq and are certified with the State as beginning <br />fire fighters. Boss reported that Rick Coenen has <br />moved out of the City, and he expects to receive a <br />letter of resignation from him. Based on this, the <br />number of Fire Department members is at 35. <br />Boss informed the Council the Fire Department members <br />have completed many hours of training in specialized <br />rescue team procedures.
