The City Administrator suggested that if it does not appear to make sense to reconstruct Little Canada Road next year, the City can ask the County to wait a year. Morelan suggested Alternative #2 but shifting Middle Street as close to the 93 W. Little Canada Road building as possible. The excess land to the south could be deeded over to the apartments. Pedersen felt that long-term this was not the type of building the City wanted on the corner of Middle Street and Little Canada Road. Fahey did not favor deeding land over to the apartments as a buffer. Morelan pointed out that the reason for deeding the land would not be to create a buffer, but only because an undevelopable piece of property would be left on that side of the road. Schroeder pointed out that storm water issues need to be addressed, and he will be working on those details with the Watershed. Morelan suggested that if 93 W. Little Canada Road does not fit into the scheme of things, perhaps the City needs to take it out resulting in a larger parcel on the west side of Little Canada Road. LaValle felt 93 W. Little Canada Road would be a very expensive building to acquire. 5chroeder reported that the south right-of-way for Little Canada Road is coincidental to the existing shoulder. The right-of-way lies north from there, and there is some encroachment of the road onto private property to the north. LaValle pointed out that there is no room to move the right-of-way south. LaValle questioned whether there was room for a sidewalk.
