MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 14, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due call and notioe thereof a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of August, <br />1996 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located <br />at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the City Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. <br />City Attorney <br />Cable TV Prod. <br />Admin. Asst. <br />MINUTES Mr. LaValle introduced the follc <br />moved its adoption: <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />wing resolution and <br />RE50LU7.'ION N0. 96-8-183 - APPROVING TfiE MINUTES OF THE <br />JULY 24, 1996 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AND THE JULY 24, <br />1996 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RAMSEY John Luey, Under Sheriff, Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />COUNTY Department thanked the Council for the opportunity <br />SHERIFF~S to address them this evening. Luey reported that <br />DEPARTMENT the purpose of the visit is to update the Council on <br />REPORT new crime prevention programs undertaken by the <br />Departnent. Luey introduced Larry McDonald of the <br />Sheriff's Department who would report on the VIPS <br />citizens' academy and the community affairs officers <br />prograrn. <br />McDonald reported that 26 citizens volunteered to <br />participate in the first VIPS academy. The purpose of <br />this program is to educate citizens in the workings of <br />1 <br />
