MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA AUGUST 14, 1996 Pursuant to due call and notioe thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of August, 1996 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. City Attorney Cable TV Prod. Admin. Asst. MINUTES Mr. LaValle introduced the follc moved its adoption: Mr. Joel Hanson Mr. Tom Sweeney Mr. Greg Schroeder Mrs. Kathy Glanzer wing resolution and RE50LU7.'ION N0. 96-8-183 - APPROVING TfiE MINUTES OF THE JULY 24, 1996 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AND THE JULY 24, 1996 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded Morelan. Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. RAMSEY John Luey, Under Sheriff, Ramsey County Sheriff's COUNTY Department thanked the Council for the opportunity SHERIFF~S to address them this evening. Luey reported that DEPARTMENT the purpose of the visit is to update the Council on REPORT new crime prevention programs undertaken by the Departnent. Luey introduced Larry McDonald of the Sheriff's Department who would report on the VIPS citizens' academy and the community affairs officers prograrn. McDonald reported that 26 citizens volunteered to participate in the first VIPS academy. The purpose of this program is to educate citizens in the workings of 1
