MINOTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEt~fBER 11, 1996 <br />sales, staff is recommending that the Temporary outdoor <br />Sales/Display Ordinance, Chapter 819, be amended to <br />allow this temporary sales activity. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 446 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 819 <br />OF THE LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br />TEMPORARY OUTDOOR SALES/DISPLAYS <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (O). ordinanoe declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />WORKSHOP moved its adoption: <br />MEETING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-9-226 - CALLING FOR A COUNCIL <br />WORKSHOP MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1996 AT <br />6:00 P.M. TO DISCUSS LAND <br />ACQUISITION/REDEVELOPMENT/FINANCING ISSUES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />HISTORICAL Morelan suggested that regardless of what happens with <br />SOCIETY the Aistorical Society Addition, the City should bring <br />ADDITION the restroom facilities up to ADA accessibility <br />standards. Morelan felt the cost of $16,000 to do so <br />was high, however, felt a City building should meet <br />accessibility requirements. <br />LaValle felt the same held true for parking <br />requirements at the City Center. <br />The Administrator pointed out that by entering into an <br />agreement with Norm's Tires for off-site parking, the <br />City can meet parking requirements outlined in the <br />Code. <br />MISSION Morelan suggested that every decision made by the <br />STATEMENT Council should be weighed against the City Mission <br />Statement. Morelan suggested a copy of this statement <br />be included in every Council agenda. It was the <br />consensus of the Council to have a framed copy of the <br />Mission Statement hung in the Council Chambers, as well <br />19 <br />
