MINOTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEt~fBER 11, 1996 sales, staff is recommending that the Temporary outdoor Sales/Display Ordinance, Chapter 819, be amended to allow this temporary sales activity. Mr. LaValle introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: ORDINANCE NO. 446 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 819 OF THE LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TEMPORARY OUTDOOR SALES/DISPLAYS The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. Nays (O). ordinanoe declared adopted. COUNCIL Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and WORKSHOP moved its adoption: MEETING RESOLUTION NO. 96-9-226 - CALLING FOR A COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1996 AT 6:00 P.M. TO DISCUSS LAND ACQUISITION/REDEVELOPMENT/FINANCING ISSUES The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. HISTORICAL Morelan suggested that regardless of what happens with SOCIETY the Aistorical Society Addition, the City should bring ADDITION the restroom facilities up to ADA accessibility standards. Morelan felt the cost of $16,000 to do so was high, however, felt a City building should meet accessibility requirements. LaValle felt the same held true for parking requirements at the City Center. The Administrator pointed out that by entering into an agreement with Norm's Tires for off-site parking, the City can meet parking requirements outlined in the Code. MISSION Morelan suggested that every decision made by the STATEMENT Council should be weighed against the City Mission Statement. Morelan suggested a copy of this statement be included in every Council agenda. It was the consensus of the Council to have a framed copy of the Mission Statement hung in the Council Chambers, as well 19
