MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 27~ 1996
the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area took lonqer
than expected, but is was important that those
appraisals were done correctly. The Administrator
indicated that he now has most of this information, and
suggested that perhaps he did not communicate
information to the Council in as timely a manner as he
should have. The Administrator reported that the RFP
process has been laid out, and should be ready to go in
about two weeks. The Administrator suggested that the
Council could authorize the Request for Proposals at
their first meeting in January.
LaValle asked if there were building height
limitations.
The Administrator replied that there are, but pointed
out that the Council has said this issue would be re-
evaluated. The Administrator pointed out that the Fire
Department now has a ladder truck which addresses the
public safety concern. Another consideration is that
the higher the building, the more parking which must be
accommodated on the site.
The Administrator submitted a list of personal goals he
has which are in addition to any assigned by the
Council.
Fahey recommended that the City Administrator be given
a 3% salary increase for 1997 which he felt was
justified by the excellent job the Administrator has
done. Council agreed.
There beinq no further business, the workshop was
adjourned at 7:27 P.M.
Attest:
