MINUTE3 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 18~ 1996 <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-12-316 - CALLING FOR A WORKSHOP <br />MEETING ON JANUARY 8, 1997 AT 6 P.M. TO DISCUSS THE <br />ISSUE OF CONSTRUCTION OF TRANSMISSION OR RECEIVING <br />TOWERS WITHIN TAE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARRS & Council reviewed the proposed Parks & Recreation <br />RECREATION Program survey. It was the consensus of the Council <br />PROGRAM that more clarity was needed with the survey, <br />SURVEY specifically with some of the program listings, i.e., <br /> board qames, bus outings. There was also discussion <br /> about the expansion of the City's program, whether <br /> there was satisfaction with the level of programming <br /> offered, and whether additional programs would result <br /> in the need for additional staff. It was noted that <br /> the Commission has requested a workshop meeting with <br /> the City Council, and it was suggested that the survey <br /> be discussed with the Commission at that workshop. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-12-317 - CALLING FOR A WORKSHOP <br />MEETING WITH THE PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION FOR <br />JANUARY 8, 1997 AT 6 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, Morelan, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BEVERLY The City Administrator expressed the City's best wishes <br />JESPERSEN to Bev Jespersen in her retirement and to Jack <br />Fitzgerald who is leaving the City's employ at the end <br />of this month. The Administrator pointed out the fine <br />job Bev and Jack have always done for the City and that <br />we will definitely miss them. <br />The Administrator further announced that the City has <br />hired Jennifer Aasen as Receptionist/Secretary and that <br />Mary Granley will move into the position of <br />Secretary/Code Enforcement. <br />Fahey conveyed his and the City Council's best wishes <br />18 <br />
