MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 22~ 1997 <br />placement other than in the rear yard. <br />Morelan asked if the ordinance restricted the number of <br />accessory sheds which would be allowed. If not, <br />Morelan felt sheds should be restricted to one per lot. <br />The City Planner reported that the Code currently <br />restricts accessory buildings to one per property, with <br />a Conditional Use Permit required for a second <br />accessory building. <br />Council agreed that sheds should be limited to one per <br />lot. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 97-1-20 - INSTRUCTING STAFF TO PUT THE <br />ACCESSORY SHED ORDINANCE INTO FINAL FORM, INCORPORATING <br />THE AMENDMENTS OUTLINED IN STAFF'S MEMO DATED JANUARY <br />16, 1997, INCORPORATING THE RESTRICTION ON PLACEMENT OF <br />SHEDS TO BExIND THE PRINCIPLE STRUCTURE, INCORPORATING <br />A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT PROCESS UNDER WHICH THE <br />COUNCIL WOULD CONSIDER PLACEMENT OTHER THAN BEHIND THE <br />PRINCIPLE STRUCTURE, LIMITING ACCESSORY SHEDS TO ONE <br />PER LOT, REFERRING THE ORDINANCE TO THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION FOR REVIEW AND THEN TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR <br />FINAL ACTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 8:42 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 8:50 P.M. <br />TOWER The City Administrator presented a draft of the tower <br />ORDINANCE ordinance which incorporates the provisions discussed <br />at the Council's January 8th workshop meeting on this <br />subject. The Administrator reported that the City <br />Attorney and City Planner have reviewed the draft, and <br />he will incorporate their comments into the ordinance. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the only change in <br />the provisions discussed on January 8th involves height <br />limitations on commercial antennas mounted on an <br />existing structure in the R-3 and Commercial Districts. <br />The ordinance proposes that commercial antennas be <br />limited to the height of the antenna above the <br />structure. Towers are not allowed to be mounted on the <br />10 <br />
