MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JANUARY 22, 1997 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of January, <br />1997 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located <br />at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />6:15 P.M. and the following members of the City Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT <br />City Admin. Mr. <br />P & R Director Mr. <br />P & R Comm. Ms. <br />P & R Comm. Ms. <br />P & R Comm. Mr. <br />P & R Comm. Mr. <br />Park Consult. Mr. <br />Admin. Asst. Mrs <br />Joel Aanson <br />Jim Morelan <br />Karen Johnson <br />Pat Ables <br />Roger Christensen <br />Pete DiFranco <br />Bill Sanders <br />Kathy Glanzer <br />PARKS & The joint workshop of the Council and the Parks and <br />RECREATION Recreation Commission began with a review of the <br />PROGRAM proposed Parks & Recreation Department Program Survey. <br />SURVEY Pat Ables stated that the purpose of the survey is to <br />find out what types of new programs there may be <br />interest in. This information would be used as a <br />planning tool. Ables noted the survey indicates that <br />all programs would be fee-based and self-supporting. <br />In discussing the survey format, the following changes <br />were made: <br />*Question #2 was restructured as a grid to <br />follow each of the suggested programs listed <br />in Question #4. Age categories were <br />clarified as (c) 19-45 and (d) 46-60. <br />*For the new program suggestions listed below, the <br />phrase "Specify type: " was added: <br />1 <br />
