MINUTES CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 12~ 1997 7 P.M. The issues which will be discussed are Sheriff's fees, golf course fees, and abatement procedures. NORTH Council conducted the annual gambling license review SUBURBAN for Nort h Suburban Youth Association. Staff reported YOUTH that all submittals, including copies of monthly ASSOCIATION reports and donations to the City's 10o Fund, are in order. Dale Maristuen, NSYA, reported that their gambling operation is profitable, although not as profitable as it had been when they were operating two nights per week at the Little Canada Bingo Hall. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97-2-31 - APPROVING THE ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION GAMBLING LICENSE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CANADIAN Council conducted the annual review of the Canadian DAYS Days gambling license, with staff again reporting that all submittals are satisfactory. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 97-2-32 - APPROVING THE ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE CANADIAN DAYS GAMBLING LICENSE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. GERVAIS Mark Weavers, 789 Carla Lane, appeared before the LAKE WATER Council to discuss water regulations proposed for REGULATIONS Gervais Lake by the Gervais Lake Homeowners Association. Weavers reported that he suspects the current ordinance was adopted in the middle 1950's. Many of the provisions in that ordinance reference State laws which do not exist anymore. These references have been corrected in the proposed ordinance. 2
