MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12~ 1997 <br />7 P.M. The issues which will be discussed are <br />Sheriff's fees, golf course fees, and abatement <br />procedures. <br />NORTH Council conducted the annual gambling license review <br />SUBURBAN for Nort h Suburban Youth Association. Staff reported <br />YOUTH that all submittals, including copies of monthly <br />ASSOCIATION reports and donations to the City's 10o Fund, are in <br /> order. <br />Dale Maristuen, NSYA, reported that their gambling <br />operation is profitable, although not as profitable as <br />it had been when they were operating two nights per <br />week at the Little Canada Bingo Hall. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-2-31 - APPROVING THE ANNUAL REVIEW OF <br />THE NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION GAMBLING LICENSE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CANADIAN Council conducted the annual review of the Canadian <br />DAYS Days gambling license, with staff again reporting that <br />all submittals are satisfactory. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 97-2-32 - APPROVING THE ANNUAL REVIEW OF <br />THE CANADIAN DAYS GAMBLING LICENSE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GERVAIS Mark Weavers, 789 Carla Lane, appeared before the <br />LAKE WATER Council to discuss water regulations proposed for <br />REGULATIONS Gervais Lake by the Gervais Lake Homeowners <br />Association. Weavers reported that he suspects the <br />current ordinance was adopted in the middle 1950's. <br />Many of the provisions in that ordinance reference <br />State laws which do not exist anymore. These <br />references have been corrected in the proposed <br />ordinance. <br />2 <br />
