MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12~ 1997 <br />Pending acquisitions may address the residential <br />properties in the area and Lakeside Apartments has <br />indicated their support for the project as proposed. <br />Morelan asked if the additional right-of-way is needed <br />because of the City's streetscape project. <br />The Administrator replied that that is correct, and <br />also pointed out that he has informed the County that <br />the alignment of the road would be the City~s best <br />guess at this time, and may need to be altered in the <br />future. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-2-37 - INSTRUCTING CITY STAFF TO <br />INFORM RAMSEY COUNTY THAT LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />RECONSTRUCTION SHOULD BE DESIGNED SO THAT THE ROAD <br />REALIGNMENT IS TOWARD THE SOUTH <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ASPEN GROVE The City Administrator reported that a neighborhood <br />DRAINAGE meeting was held with Aspen Grove property owners <br />abutting the ponding area. At that meeting, drainage <br />improvements were discussed for the rear yards of these <br />properties. It was pointed out to property owners that <br />the cost of these improvements would need to be <br />absorbed by the property owners. The property owners <br />were unanimous in opposing the improvements since they <br />felt the expenditure was not warranted. There were <br />seven property owners present of the eleven affected <br />property owners. <br />The Administrator further reported that there may be <br />some minor corrective actions which can be made as part <br />of the Arcade Street improvement project. These will <br />be looked at when the project is nearer to its start <br />date. <br />CLOSED Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />SESSION moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 97-2-38 - ADJOURNING INTO CLOSED SESSION <br />TO DISCUSS THE SCHULER LITIGATION <br />7 <br />
