MINUTES OF TAE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA~ MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 19, 1997 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 19th day of February, <br />1997 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located <br />at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />5:45 P.M. and the following members of the City Council <br />were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br /> Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br /> Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br /> Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br /> Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br /> Planning Comm. Mr. Gene DeLonais <br /> Ehlers Mr. Rusty Fifield <br /> Hoisington Mr. Michael Schroeder <br /> Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />DEVELOPER The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to <br />INTERVIEWS conduct developer interviews for the Rice Street Little <br /> Canada Road area. The City Administrator outlined a <br /> suggested format for the Council to follow. <br />INTERVIEW Pat Pelstring, Public Resource Group, appeared before <br />#1 - the Council and reported that his firm has teamed up <br />PUBLIC with Amcon Corporation and Dunbar Development to <br />RESOURCE express interest in working as the prospective <br />GROUP/ developer for the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. <br />AMCON CORP./ Pelstring outlined the experience and background each <br />DUNBAR firm can bring to the project, which includes design, <br />DEVELOPMENT construction, engineering, development, financing, and <br /> multi-family housing. <br /> Jim Winkles, Amcon Corporation, and Frank Dunbar, <br /> Dunbar Construction, also outlined the expertise of <br /> each of their firms. Dunbar indicated that their role <br /> would be to look at the site, its current uses, and <br /> future potential, considering what would work <br /> economically for the user and the City. <br />1 <br />
