MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 12, 1997 <br />The foregoing ordinlnce was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />2ESOI.UTION NO. 97-3-53 - REPEAI,ING TFIE MOlZATORIUM ON <br />TFIE CONSTR UCTION OF TRANb'MI.S.SION AN7 ENNAS AND <br />TOWERS UPON PU13I.ICATION OF ORDINANCE N0. 454 <br />The foregoin~ resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VACATION Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the vacation of portions <br />VIKING DR. of road rights-of-way for Minnesoca Avenue and Viking Drive as abut the <br />St. Jude Medical property. <br />There was no one fi-oin the general public presei~t wishing Co comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Morela~i asked why the proposll included vacation of a portion of <br />Minnesota Avenue. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the Minnesota Avenue right-of- <br />way lies between the portion of Viking Drive right-of-way which St. Jude <br />Medical is purchasing from the City and the St. Jude property. It was also <br />pointed out that it is not feasib(e Yhat this portion of Minnesota Avenue <br />would be improved. <br />Pedersen noted the vacation wi(1 put this property back on the <br />tax rolls. <br />IY was suggested Yhe City Administrator determine if there is additional <br />ri~;ht-of-way for Minnesota Avenue lying between the Cobblestone <br />Village plat and the St. Jude Medical property which should also be <br />vacated. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />4 <br />
