MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 12, 1997 <br />ARCADE Tlie City Administrator repoited that the City received seven bids for <br />STR~~T the Arcade Street improvement project. The low bid was ii~ tl~e amount <br />IMP. of $884,219.20 fi~om Ryan Contracting. Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONCEPT The City Administrator repa~ted that submittals are due from Laurent/ <br />REVIEW Parks and Wall Companies next Friday f'or the Rice Street/Little Canada <br />Road redevelopment project. The Administrator recommended that once <br />these submittals are received, staff and consultants review them and obtain <br />any additional information which mi~ht be necessary. Once the initial <br />review has occurred, the Council should hold a workshop to conduct its <br />review. <br />The Administrator reported that representatives of Llurent/Parks would <br />like to meet with representaYives of the Council on Friday to discuss some <br />questions they have about the redevelopment project. Mayor Fahey and <br />Council Member Pedersen agreed to meet with Laurent/Parks <br />representatives. <br />The Administrator indicated it would be advisable f'or the Council to tour <br />some ofthe projects developed by each ofthese companies. The Council <br />suggested perhaps the ~ldministrator could ask the developers for a listing <br />of some of their projects. Individual Counci( Members could then drive <br />by these projects at their convenience. <br />Council discussed a recent article regarding the Wall Companies' <br />development in White Bear Lake. The Administrator indicated in <br />
