Resolution declared adopted. <br />WORKSHOP The Parl<s & Recreation Commission has requested a joint workshop with <br />WITH PARKS & the City Council. <br />RECREATION <br />COMMISSION Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RF,S01, UTION NO. 97-4-80 - CA/,LING FOR A.IOINT WORKb'HOP <br />MEETING FOIZ WEI)NE.SDAY, MAY 28"', AT 6: 00 P.M. WlTH THE <br />PARK.S' & RECREATION COMMLSSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />HISTORiCAI, Scalze thanked Mayor Fahey for the assistance he provided to the <br />SOCIETY Hista'ic~l Society in gaining non-profit status for that organization. <br />Scalze acknowledged the large amount of work Fahey contributed in <br />achieving that goal for t(~e Historical Society. <br />Fahey noted that the Historical Society is iilterested in becoming involved <br />in charitable gambling. I-Iowever, the State requires non-profit status for <br />three years prior to issuance of a gti~nbliug license. The Historical Society <br />will be eli~ible in just over two years' time.
