MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 23, 1997 <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 97-4-90 - REMOVING ITEMS NO. ll AND NO. <br />I2 FROM TFIB CON.SENT AC;ENDA FOR FURTHER DISCUSSlON <br />The fore~oing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VARiANCE The City Administrator reviewed his letter dated April 18, 1997 to the <br />REQUEST - Ramsey County Departinent ofPublic Health outlining the City's <br />NORTH STAR position on the NoRh Star Estates Mobilehome Park variance request <br />ESTATES from setback of parking from adjacent mobilehomes. <br />Fahey pointed out that the ordinance prohibits the parking of vehicles <br />within 10 feet of an adjacent mobilehome. North Start Estates has applied <br />for a blanket variance from this requirement. Fal~ey suggested that one <br />way to address the matter would be for the City to review each building <br />permit application for movin~ in new mobilehomes, and consider the <br />setback Pi~om adjacent parking at that Cime. If a setback of less than ] 0 feet <br />is to be considered, there should be agreement on the part of the adjacent <br />neighbors. Fahey reporCed thaY the Cotimty I~as indicated they will evaluate <br />the matter based on the size of parking pads untii such time as the State <br />develops some new standards. <br />Denise Moore, Noith Star Estates, asked for clarification. Moore wanted <br />to know if the suggestion was thaY Nortli Star Estates woulcl liave to agree <br />17 <br />
