TOBACCO The City Administrator reported that the FDA has recently adopted ORDINANCE tobacco regulations which preempt local re~ulations. However, should the City wish, it can request a waiver for tlie preempted portions of its ordinance. The waiver process will give the City some additional time to compare the FDA's regulations wiCh the City's Co determine which would be more effecfive on the local IeveL The League of Minnesota Cities is coordinaYing tl~e waiver process on behalf of cities. ACCEPT The City Administrator reported that Michelle DeBace has submitted RESIGNATION her resignation as Parks & Recreatioi~ Assistant Program Director in OF MICHELLE order to take a full-tiine position with the City of Maple Grove. Michelle DEBACE has agreed to stay on with fhe City until 1 replacement can be Found.
