Mahtomedi On-Sale Liquor $3,200
On-Sale Wine $300
Last increased the liquor license fees in 2019 and
it was a sharp increase from $2,100 to
$3,200. We generally do a survey every 4-5 years
to see where other similar cities are and then
determine if we will increase or not. The amount
of the increase would be based on the average
increase seen in surrounding communities. Our
council wants to ensure our license holders can
afford the license fee and do not want it to
become cumbersome since these folks have had
a rough few years.

Vadnais Heights On-Sale Liquor
Up to 2,000 sq. ft. $3,300.00
2,001 to 3,000 sq. ft. $4,300.00
3,001 to 4,000 sq. ft. $5,300.00
Over 4,000 sq. ft. $6,300.00

On-Sale Wine $400

On-Sale Liquor Establishment/Bar Based on
square footage of liquor serving area

Have not increased fees since 2007
Mendota Heights On-sale liquor Tier 1 $10,000
On-sale liquor Tier 2 $7,500
On-sale liquor hotel $3,000
On-sale Wine $250
License fees were last increased in 2017
On-sale tier one - a restaurant or for a hotel that
does not have a dining area, open to the general
public, with a total minimum floor area of two
thousand (2,000) square feet and dining facilities
for seating a minimum of two hundred (200)
guests at one time.
