MINUT~S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 14, 1997 <br />PREMISE The Cotmcil reviewed the application submitted by Lake Owasso <br />PERMIT Residence Volunteer Council for renewal of their premise permit <br />RENEWAL - to conduct bin~o and pu(1-tab sales at the Little Canada Bingo Hall. <br />LAKE The license period is from September 1, 1997 through August 31, <br />OWASSO 1999. Staff reported thlt application materials are complete and appear to <br />be in order. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTIONNO. 97-5-107-APPROVlNG THERENEWAI OF <br />PREMI.S'E PERMIT FOR I,AKE OW,9SS0 RE,S'IDENCE <br />VOLUNTEER CODNCIL FOR CI ASS A LICEN.SE TO OPERATE A <br />BINGO AND PDI L-TA13 OPERATION AT THE LITTLE CANADA <br />I3INCi 0 FIAI.I, FOR THE I.ICEN.SE PERIOD .SEPTEMI3ER 1, I997 <br />THROUGFIAUGUST3l, 1999 <br />The f'oregoing resolution w1s duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Pahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared tidopted. <br />Fahey thanl<ed Lal<e Owasso Residence Vo(unteer Council for their past <br />generosity toward handicapped-accessibility issues for City projects. <br />VOUCfIERS Mr. LaValle introduced the f'ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESO7. U'IION NO. 97-5-108 - APPROVINC THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, I'ahey. <br />Nays (0). 'Resolution declared adopted. <br />LAKE G~RVAIS The City AdmiuistraYor prese~~ted the Council with the joint powers <br />JOINT POWERS agreement with the City of Maplewood relative to the enforcement of <br />AGREEMENT surface water regulations on Lake Gervais. <br />Dennis Carson, 2465 Edgerton Street, expressed concern tl~at the surface <br />water regulations which were adopted by the City forbids anyone from <br />launching a wlter crafl inYo Lake Gerv~is exce~t from the public landing <br />at Spoon Lal<e. Carson pointed out that there are people with canoes and <br />inflatable boats who put these water craft ii~to Gervais on the north side of <br />t11e picnic area ~tt Gervais Beach.
