MINUTES OF TAE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 13, 1997 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a re~ular meetin~ of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13°i day of August, <br />1997 in the Council Chambers ofthe City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey. <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Attorney Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />City Engineer Mr. Paul Heuer <br />Cable TV Producer Ms. Kyrsten Thompson <br />Admin. Assistant Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI.UTIONNO. 97-8-179 -APPROVING THE MINUTES OF <br />THEJUI.Y23, 1997REGDI,ARCOUNCII.MEETINGA.S <br />.SUI3MITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CANADIAN Ray Hanson, Canadian Days President, reported that the spirit of <br />DAYS volunteerism is alive and well in Little Canada. Hanson reported that <br />CELEBRATION the Canadian Days Committee would like to thank the City Council and <br />City Staff who gave 110% durin~ the Canadian Days Celebration this past <br />weekend. Hanson highlighted the various events which took place. He <br />also extended thanks to the Little Canada Fire DeparYment, Little Canada <br />Recreation Association, The Venetian Inn, Slumberland, Frattalone <br />Excavating, Rachel Steinert's Girl Scout Troop, and all the other <br />or~anizations and individuals who made Canadian Days a success. <br />
