MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 22,1997
In reviewing the architectural component plan submitted by Arby's, the
Planner noted that the plan does not specify the type of materials that
would be used for the awnings. The architect for Arby's had verbally said
that they were proposing to use metal or canvas, and the Planner indicated
that his reco-lection was that the Planning Commission indicated that
either wou(d be satisfactory. There were comments at the September
Planning Commission meeting by a few of the Commissioners who
indicated they would prefer to see metal awnin~s.
Mr. Fahey introduced the followin~ resolution and moved its adoption:
RES07, UTION NO. 97-10-254 - RECONSII)ERING THE APPROVAI,
OF THE U.SE OF METAL AWNINGS FOR THE AR73Y'S I3UII,DING
LOCATED ON RICE STREET
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (3) Fahey, LaValle, Pedersen.
Nays (2) Morelan, Scalze.
