MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 26, 1997 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BUILDING Council reviewed the quotes received for the demolition work at 2 East <br />DEMOLITION Little Canada Road. The City Administrator reported that the bid of <br />QUOTES - Veit & Company is now low given that Veit will include well <br />2 EAST abandonment in his bid. <br />LITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI,UTIONNO. 97-11-293 -AWARDING THE BID OF VEIT & <br />COMPANY FOR DEMOI,ITION OF 2 EAST LITTLE CANADA <br />ROAD AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITYADMINISTRATOR IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $4, 695. 00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TAX The Council reviewed the Parks & Recreation Commissions <br />FORFEITED recommendation not to take the tax forfeited properties on Ed~erton <br />PROPERTIES Street and at Ruth and Demont Street as park property, but rather allow <br />them to go to public auction. The Deputy Clerk reported that the County <br />notifies all property owners within 300 feet of a tax-forfeited property <br />prior to the property being auctioned. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE,SOLUTION NO. 97-11-294 - DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO <br />INFORM RAMSEY CO UNTY THAT THE CITY IS NOT <br />INTERESTEI) INACQUIRING THE TAX FORFEITED <br />PROPERTIES ON EDGERTON AND AT RUTH AND DEMONT <br />STREET FOR PARK OR OPEN SPAC~ PURPOSE.S <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0).
