Resolution declared adopted. <br />STRATEGIC Council discussed the scheduling of a Council/Staff strategic planning <br />PLANNING and calendars submitted by participants indicating their availability. <br />SESSION <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI.UTIONNO. 98-2-29-SCHEDULINCA COUNCII/STAFF <br />STRATEGIC PLANNING .SESSION FOR MONDAY, APRI7, 20, 1998 <br />AT 4 P.M. AT THE CITYCENTER <br />The foregoin~ resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OLD FIRE IIALL The Council reviewed staff"s report dated February 4, 1998 relative to the <br />rental of the Old Fire Hall. It was the consensus of the Council that the <br />lower level of the Old Fire Hall should continue to be rented. Council <br />then discussed the need for pavin~ of the parking lot at the Old Fire Hall. <br />LaValle felt the paving should be done, pointing out that businesses in the <br />City are required to have paved parking surfaces. The Deputy Clerk noted <br />that the capacity of the Old Fire Hall has been limited by the amount of <br />available parking. If the paving results in additional parking spaces, the <br />capacity can be increased. <br />Council discussed replacement of the existing tables and chairs with staff <br />noting that these tables and chairs are in poor condition.
