MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1998 <br />SCOTT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />TANGEN' S <br />R~SIGNATION RESOI,UTIONN0.98-S-1I5-ACCEPTINGWITHREGRETSTHE <br />IZESIGNATION OF.SCOTT TANGEN AS' PUI3I.IC WORKS <br />DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValie, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator indicated that he will advertise the Public Works <br />Director position. <br />CARDINAL The City Administrator reported that Earl Cardinal has indicated that he <br />PROPEI2TY is interested in seliing his property to the City. The Administrator <br />recominended th~t the ap~raisa( on the pro}~erCy be updated, and that the <br />City offer the apprlised value to Mr. CardinaL The current appraisal is <br />two years old. The AdministraYor }~ointed out that shouid the <br />redevelopment of the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area move forward, <br />and tlie City would tllen purchase the Cardinal property, the City would be <br />suUject to payin~ relocltion expenses. Therefore, a purchase at this time <br />would be less costly to the City. <br />The Council felt that Mr. Cardinal should provide the City with a written <br />statemenC indicating l~is agreement Yo selling his property to the City at the <br />apprlised value. <br />Mrs. Sc11ze iutroduced tl~e followin~ resolution 1nd moved its adoption: <br />RF,SOI. Resolution deciared adopted. <br />HURLEY The City Administrator repo~rted that the appraisal for the Hurley property <br />PROPERTY at 2 West Little Cauada Road ca~ne in at $105,000. <br />]0 <br />
