MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 13, 1998 SCOTT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: TANGEN' S R~SIGNATION RESOI,UTIONN0.98-S-1I5-ACCEPTINGWITHREGRETSTHE IZESIGNATION OF.SCOTT TANGEN AS' PUI3I.IC WORKS DIRECTOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) LaValie, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator indicated that he will advertise the Public Works Director position. CARDINAL The City Administrator reported that Earl Cardinal has indicated that he PROPEI2TY is interested in seliing his property to the City. The Administrator recominended th~t the ap~raisa( on the pro}~erCy be updated, and that the City offer the apprlised value to Mr. CardinaL The current appraisal is two years old. The AdministraYor }~ointed out that shouid the redevelopment of the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area move forward, and tlie City would tllen purchase the Cardinal property, the City would be suUject to payin~ relocltion expenses. Therefore, a purchase at this time would be less costly to the City. The Council felt that Mr. Cardinal should provide the City with a written statemenC indicating l~is agreement Yo selling his property to the City at the apprlised value.
