MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 13, 1998 RE.S'OI, UTION NO. 9N-5-113 -AWARDING 7HE I3ID OF KI.EIN EI_ECTRIC IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,500 FOR TENNI.S COURT LIGHTING WORK IN PIONEER PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CITY The City Administrator reviewed the bids received for paving work in PAVING the City. These projecCS ii~clude expansion of tl~e parkin~ lot in Pioneer PROJ~CTS Park, expansion of the parking lot in Spooner Park, installation of gravel base for a p1rl<ing area off Edgerton Street in Gervais Mill Park, parking lot improvements at the Old rire Hall, and paving the service yard at the Public Works Mlintenance Garage. T'IZe low bid for this work was received from Frattalone Excavating in the amount of $81,660.85. The City Ad~ninistrator indicated that this amount can be reduced by $1,000 f'or relocation of trees in Pioneer Park with the work done by City sYaff rather than the contractor as well as another $800 by using recycled Class V on tl~e paving projects. Cllange orders will be processed for these redactions. FRANCHISE The Council discussed tl~e need for the Executive Direetor of the Cable REN~WAL Commission to meet with the Council to discuss the upcoming Cable TV franchise renewal. lt was the consensus of the Council that the Director otrtline ti~e hi~hli;hts of the renewal for the Council to review in a memo. After reviewing, ifthe Council has any questions, a meeting can be scheduled with the Director.
