MINUT~S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1998 <br />REb'OI, UTION NO. 98-5-I06 - APPRO [/ING CIIANCE ORDERS NO. <br />1, 2, 3, 4, AND 5 FOR T'FIE HISTOI27CAL SOCIETYADDITION <br />PRO.IECT AS RFCOMMENDED 73Y THE ARCHITECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze. <br />1Vays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GUERIN The City Attorney repoirted that staff had anticipated t6at the updated <br />PROPERTY appraisal for the Guerin property would be available for review at this <br />evening's meeting. IIowever, it is not, therefore, no Council discussion of <br />this issue is required at this time. <br />NON- Tl~e City AtYOrney presented the Council with an ordinance relating to the <br />DOMF,STICAT~D non-domestic animals. Tl~e Attorney reported that this ordinance is in <br />ANIMAL response to a public safety issue with the keeping of wild and exotic <br />ORDINANCE animals. It was reported that the majority of the surrounding cities <br />prohibit the keeping of wild and exotic animals. <br />M~•. Pedersen introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />OR127NANCE NO. A75 - AN ORDINANCE ADDING~ CHAPTER I105 <br />TO TFIE MUNICIPA[, CODE OF TIII G7TY OF LITT] E CANADA, <br />RELATING TO NON-DOMESTICATED ANIMAI,.S <br />The f'oregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, LaVa(le. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance dec(ared adopted. <br />LIV~STOCK The Council discussed the City's currenC ordinances pertainin~r to the <br />keeping of livestocl< and horses. The consensus of this review was tl~at the <br />ordi~~ances were acceptable as they exist. <br />HISTORICAL The City Administrator reviewed the bids received for cabinet work as <br />SOCI~TY well as fire protectioi~ work for the Historical Society project, and <br />BIDS recommended that the Coimcil award these bid packages to the low <br />bidders. <br />Mrs. Sc11ze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />
