Resolution declared adopted. <br />ALCOFIOL It was noted that the Council h1s discussed the request made by the North <br />COMPliIANCE Suburban Tobacco Compliance Project and the University of Minnesota <br />CH~ECKS Alcohol Epidemiology Pro~ram that the City participate in alcohol age-of- <br />sale law compliance checks. It was noted thaY this program is a study <br />being conducted Uy the U of M on the effectiveness of compliance checks <br />on age-of sale compliance. <br />Morelan asl<ed wl~at ~enllties the St1te imposes for the sale of alcohol to <br />persons under the age of 2 L The City Attorney reported that the sale or <br />providing of alcohol to a minor is a gross misdemeanar that is punishable <br />by one year in jail and/or a$3,000 fine. <br />
