Resolution decl~red ldopted. <br />YOUTH SPORTS The City Administrator reported that Gre~ Cylkowski, Sports For:Life, <br />& RECREATION has requested City-sponsorship o~a YouCh Spa~ts & RecreaYion Grant <br />GRANT ApplicaYion th~t he will be submitting for funding for scho(arships for Yhe <br />All American Girl Hocl<ey C1mp. [f the City chooses to participate, it <br />would be nlmed as the grantee and would be responsible for <br />administratio~~ of the program within progr2m guideliiles. The City <br />Admii~isCrator felt that staff time in administerin~ the program would be <br />minimal. <br />Morelan asl<ed whlt the State would p11n to do to ensure the grant funds <br />are expended as i~~tended. <br />Gre~ Cylkowsl<i re~orted That non-proft groups cannot directly apply for <br />these grant f'unds. Cyll<owsl<i reported that accotiu~tability for compliance <br />with grant pro~rlm guide(ines would be the responsibility of Sports For <br />Life. <br />Fahey asl<ed what accountability there woultl be to the City if the City puts <br />its name on the application. The City must ensure that the funds are spent <br />appropriately. <br />Cylkowski reported that befiore the City would release tlle grant f~mds, it <br />cou(d review the pro~rai~~ bud~et to ensure that everything is in proper <br />fonn. <br />Morelan pointed out the administrative t~urden this program would put on <br />tl~e CiCy.
