Resolutio~~ decllred adopted. <br />RICE STR~~T/ The City Administrator reported that negotiations witl~ Cinemark are <br />LITTLE CANADA proceeding very slow. There has been no respo~~se to the lease and <br />ROAD development agreement doc~iments which h~ve been foiwarded to them. <br />REDEV~LOP- The Administrator repoiYed thaC he has tall<ed to ICim Wise on a couple of <br />MENT occasions. Wise has indicated that Cinemarl< has approved the (ease <br />parameters ~nd is ready to fintilize this document. "Chey havejust <br />compleCed 1 couple of big projects and are ready to focus on the Little <br />C1n1da project. Wise indicated that he will c111 b~icl< on Friday with the <br />timet~ble for the ~~roject. <br />Morelan expressed his {'rusCrlCion over tl~e amount of time that these <br />negotiations are tttl<in~, and s~ig~estetl that a deldline sho~ild be <br />established. <br />Fal~ey indicated that he feels the City has done the right thiug in moving <br />forward o~~ the Guerin pro~~erty. Fahey s~ig~ested that once the City <br />acquires the Guerin property, it c1n be assembled with the Bud~et Power <br />property and offered to anofher developer. iahey indicated that it will <br />tal<e a 11rge developer to assemble the sites south of Little Canlda Road <br />and put Yogether a worl<able ~roject. l~~hey sug~ested tliat 1t t11is point the <br />City try to worl< the Cinemlrl< project through. <br />Morelan suggested that perhaps tl~e City should have some discussions <br />abo~it whlt it will tlo if the Cinemarl< project does not proceed. <br />Scalze pointed out thlt Cinemarl; has indicated that without the northern <br />parcels, tl~e development south of Little Canadl Road will not work. <br />Pahey su~~estetl that i1'a project is commenced on the northern site, the <br />existin~ businesses south of Little Canada Roxd m1y want to relocate <br />there. <br />10 <br />
