MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 10, 1998
Morelan stated that he is convinced that a theater deve(opment would not
work north of Little Canada Road. Morelan felt the southern location was
best, and felt the issue was how long the City was willing to wait in order
to get the best development for the area. Morelan felt a theater on the
northern site would have a negative impact on aesthetics for the senior
housing.
Pedersen noted that a theater on the south would affect the aesthetics o£
Lakeside Apartments.
The Administrator reported that the owners of the Market Place Shopping
Center has suggested a buffer off Market Place Drive to minimize a
theater's impact on the senior housing. The Administrator reported that he
informed the owners that the development would have to work and be of
high quality.
Morelan asked if Chris Moarn was working with the bank. The
Administrator repiied that he has suggested to Moarn that he make contact
with the bank.
LaValle again asked for updated plans on the Little Canada Road
realignment. The Administrator replied that he would obtain this
informaYion.
ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 9R-I1-270 - ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen.
Nays (0).
